On behalf of the Pennsylvania State Historic Preservation Office, the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission serves as the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO).  It is the responsibility of the SHPO to prepare and implement a comprehensive statewide historic preservation plan.  As the last revision expires in 2011, a new preservation plan is being prepared for 2012-2017.  If you would like to participate in the planning process, click on the following link:
